At Watania Steel’s Factories, the manufacturing of Billets process starts in Steel Making Shops (SMS).

The process begins in our state-of-the-art melting furnaces, where scrap metal is recycled and converted into liquid steel, ensuring an environmentally responsible operation with minimal pollution and industrial waste.

The liquid steel is then refined in our AOD units to achieve the desired chemical composition and quality. From there, the liquid steel is cast in our Continuous Casting Machines (CCM) into billets of varying lengths.

These billets are only an intermediate product, which are further processed in our Rolling Mills (RM) to produce our core products – Steel Rebars, Rebar in Coils and Plain Wire Rods that meet international specifications and standards.
